St Govan’s Head
Pembrokeshire

I visited St Govan’s Head for the first time in the summer of 2012 and got ‘hooked’. The blueness of the sea with the rhythmically ‘white horses’ rolling in was a stark contrast to the cascading rock face in the foreground. To capture this scene on canvas, the composition was of prime consideration and I eventually set on a viewpoint I was looking for. The pale blue skyline provided the visual balance and overall, I’m pleased with the way it turned out.
