One of my favourite places to visit in Wales and it still throws many surprises every time you visit. Throughout the summer season, Caldey Island, visitors experience a calming influence, tranquility and peace when visiting one of Britain’s most holy islands. This is a painting which depicts the island from a very different angle with the popular resort of Tenby in the distance.

The mood of the painting captures a heavy storm looming over the coastline and making its way towards the island. The overall atmosphere is enhanced with the way the light accentuates the island set against the ambience of the sky and the tense mood of the sea.
